Summary of Responsibilities

The Fiber Optic technician is primarily responsible for pulling and dressing Fiber and/or Copper cables in ISP & OSP environments. Requires ability to read and interpret network diagrams and/or detailed instructions. Requires a combination of experience in commercial Fiber Optic cabling, experience splicing ribbon and/or loose-tube fibers, experience with data center build-outs including cage builds, infrastructure and rack & equipment installs, and experience with OTDR, OLTS, VFL & Fluke Testing equipment. Experience with installing related infrastructure such as fiber tray, ladder racking, unistrut and threaded rod support structures a plus. Experience with standard telecom twisted pair, coax, stranded, Category 5 & Category 6 including termination, testing, and labeling a plus. Ability to travel a plus. Carpentry or Electrical experience a plus.

Summary of Responsibilities

The Project Manager is primarily responsible for providing a consistently professional level of interaction both verbally and in writing with our customers on new and ongoing projects. Day to day tasks include writing detailed and accurate quotes, conducting site surveys, making progress reports to customers and communication with field technicians for troubleshooting & clarification. It is also the Project Manager’s responsibility to consider all factors relating to new projects and ensure a high level of satisfaction to our customers while maintaining the profitability of the company. The ideal Project Manager will be able to individually perform all job functions of the Fiber Optic Technician role.
